Absolute Cosmetic Medicine is a dedicated to the pursuit of the latest up to date knowledge in both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures and treatments.
We work with other specialists to offer a whole range of services and techniques.
As a patient, it is important to be entirely aware of what procedure is the most suitable for you .This includes the appropriate recovery time and that which fits your budget.  With so many cosmetic treatments currently available, sometimes it can be very confusing when trying to choose the best treatment for you.  Although, information can be provided on our website and from telephone conversations, often it is difficult to recommend your preferred procedure type, including costs and sessions required.  For this reason we offer complimentary consultations with our theatre and injecting nurses.  All of our nurses are experienced theatre and nurse injectors and can provide informed answers to most of your questions.
Each consultation is strictly non obligation and can help you decide which treatment would suit you and your lifestyle.  However, if you wish to have treatment at the same time as your consultation, please advise our reception staff when booking your appointment.

 

• BREAST AUGMENTATION
Absolute Cosmetic is a highly trusted and recommended name for breast enlargement and augmentation in Perth.
Breast augmentation is one of the most frequently performed plastic/cosmetic surgery procedures today. Women all over the world have thought about breast augmentation, the aesthetic and emotional aspects of breast enlargement and what the first steps are in undergoing breast enhancement. The main reasons for undergoing breast implant surgery are: augmentation to increase breast size and or shape (cosmetic); reconstruction following mastectomy; replacement of an existing implant for medical or cosmetic reasons; correction of a con-genital deformity.

 

• LIPO DISSOLVE
Lipo Dissolve or Fat Dissolve is a variation of the original treatment of Mesotherapy.  Useful for treating stretch marks, cellulite and loose skin, Mesotherapy was also found to be successful at dissolving small pockets of fatty tissue when injected further through the mesoderm (middle layer of skin), directly into the layers of fatty tissue.
Utilising the fat dissolving benefits of phosphatydilcholine in a customised formula, Lipo Dissolve can help budge those stubborn pockets of fatty tissue when diet an exercise have been unsuccessful.  Large areas may take several extra treatments to achieve good results and therefore it is often recommended to consider Liposculpture as an alternative.  Please see our section on Liposculpture for further information.

 

• LIPOSCULPTURE
Liposculpture by the modern ‘Tumescent’ technique is an exciting procedure that shapes the body silhouette into more attractive contours by the permanent removal of stubborn, disfiguring and unwanted fat deposits. It is similar to Liposuction but has distinctly favourable differences.

 

• WRINKLE FILLERS
Wrinkle fillers are injectable products made of a pure synthetic substance, usually replicating what occurs naturally in the body.  Our body's own skin gel or fibres holds water, giving hydration and youthful volume to our skin.  As we age, the production and quality of our own fibres and skin gel diminishes, creating wrinkles, deep lines, sagging skin and the depletion of lips and cheeks.  Injecting filler into these areas usually gives an immediate result and creates a newer, fuller and more youthful appearance.

 

• WRINKLE RELAXERS
For wrinkle treatment Perth patients highly recommend we use wrinkle relaxers that are a purified protein (much like penicillin production). When injected into specific muscles, wrinkle relaxers block the nerve impulses, inhibiting the muscle's ability to contract.
When you frown or squint, the muscles in your face tense, forming deep creases in your forehead, in between and around your eyes. These movements are often habitual and frequently result in the formation of fixed and sometimes deep wrinkles or furrows. Wrinkle relaxer is one of the most effective wrinkle treatments Perth has available. By preventing the injected muscle from receiving the nerve signals that tell them to tense. If the wrinkle is continuously improved by repeated treatment, the overlying skin becomes less stretched and better able to resist wrinkling. In time, the habit of frowning may even diminish.

• THREAD LIFT - FACELIFT
As we begin to age our tissue becomes weakened, we lose facial fat and the underlying support structure becomes lax and ptotic (sagging). The main areas to suffer this sagging are our cheeks, around the eyes, the brows, the jowls and the neck, creating a longer and older looking face. Younger patients suffer from cheek and brow ptosis as well, often prompting them to seek procedures which are effective but less invasive than major surgery.

 

• FAT TRANSFER
Fat Transfer is a placement of a patient’s own fatty tissue to correct and improve lines, wrinkles and contours in areas such as lip augmentation, nasolabial lines, chin, cheeks or scars.

 

• CHEMICAL PEELS
Chemical peeling is exactly as it says - peeling of the skin using a chemical (can be microscopic for lighter peels so not interfere in your daily activities). At Absolute Cosmetic Medicine, we use several different types of peeling including Trichloroacetic acid (TCA), Jessner Peel (lactic acid, salicylic acid and resorcinol), Danne Six Layer Peel, Glycolic Acid Peels and Lactic Acid Peels. Gentler peels in different percentages can be performed by our Skin Technicians and Nurses, however stronger peels such as a TCA or Jessner Peel must be done by the doctor.
Chemical peels refresh the skin by removing its outer damaged layers during the application of the treatment. Some sunspots, irregular pigmentation, freckles and rough scaly patches can be significantly reduced. Through the stimulation of your body's natural healing process and production of collagen, chemical peels can also reduce fine wrinkles. There is some evidence that it may reduce the risk of skin cancer. Chemical peels are safest and most effective on the face and although hands can be peeled, the risks of scarring are higher and the results are less predictable.
Some peels are gentler, slower with near invisible peeling and are a good introduction to this successful procedure.

 

• ERBIUM AND FRACTIONAL LASER
Erbium Laser is a specialised and computer controlled removal of layers of the skin’s surface, which can produce outstanding results with minimal risk. The laser can remove both superficial and medium depth lines, including some scarring, depending on the controlled depth of the ablation and the amount of “passes” your Doctor will perform.

 

• MESOTHERAPY
Originally developed in the 1950's by a Parisian doctor, Mesotherapy is a medical procedure which involves injecting a customised formula of natural plant extracts, homeopathic agents and vitamins into the skin to treat a variety of conditions.  Mesotherapy can be used to treat or assist in a variety of conditions such as hair loss, hair regeneration, cellulite, weight loss (spot reduction), anti-aging of the skin, redundant skin, hand rejuvenation, and neck rejuvenation.

 

• COLLAGEN STIMULATORS
Collagen Stimulators are essentially Wrinkle Fillers that use your own body natural production of collagen to fill wrinkles, lines, hollowed cheeks and temples. Designed predominantly to fill areas that decrease in volume as we age around the face, they are not recommended to be used in the lips, as the colour of the product can show through its fine red skin. A standard Wrinkle Filler should be used to augment the lips.
Two Collagen Stimulators are available that work in very similar ways with only a few differences in their makeup. Your practitioner will discuss with you the pros and cons of both products and decide which one will most suit the area you would like to re-sculpt on your face.

 

• VEIN TREATMENT
Many Australians suffer from problems related to varicose and spider veins. Many seek vein treatment in Perth for relief of pain as well as for cosmetic improvement. Although unsightly (and therefore unwanted) blood vessels are part of the blood circulation system, many of them, especially spider veins, can be removed because the blood has started to flow in the wrong direction and they no longer effectively return blood to the heart. Therefore, when these veins become a burden, a vein treatment procedure called sclerotherapy can be used that will cause them to disappear or at least become much smaller and less visible.

 

• RECELL™
ReCell™ is an innovative device that enables a doctor to apply a patient’s own skin cells, collected from a small sample, to an area that requires re-texturing, healing or the reintroduction of pigment.  ReCell™ has been developed by Australian of the Year, Dr Fiona Wood, plastic surgeon and burns specialist.
ReCell™ helps to avoid the formation of scars and can replace old scar tissue or damaged skin with the skin tone and colour of the surrounding tissue.  It can also be used to reintroduce skin colour (pigment) to areas of skin that are whiter than the surrounding skin.
Doctors use ReCell™ to treat acute wounds such as burns, old scars or during cosmetic surgery operations to enhance healing and reduce the formation of scars and blotchy skin.
ReCell™ produces a “Spray Solution” that contains all of the skin cells necessary to promote healthy skin growth.  This includes keratinocyte cells that form the basis of healthy skin and melanocyte cells that produce skin colour (melanin).  The cells are processed while the doctor prepares the area to be treated and are then sprayed onto the skin by the doctor.  Once applied onto the wound, these cells multiply and spread throughout the skin, resulting in increased healing.

Skin Rolling treatment is becoming one of the most popular and successful treatments for acne scarring, general scarring, lax skin and fine wrinkles.  This unique treatment utilises our bodies own repair mechanisms to heal the treated area without the need for surgery, long recovery time and expense.

 

• EYELID SURGERY
As key elements in facial expression, the eyes convey messages of emotion, vitality, and age. Over time, the eyes undergo changes that often make people feel as if they appear sad or tired. The aging process can cause the eyelids to sag and droop, which in combination with bags and puffiness can make you look tired and older than you really are. Eyelid surgery can help freshen and revitalize your face by reducing the appearance of heavy and sagging eyelids, puffiness, and bags under the eyes.
